11/23-24/04 I went up to the property for 2 days: Tuesday and Wednesday.
This was a short week because of Thanksgiving. I arrived at 12:30. There hadn't been any new snow. After moving in, I sanded all the surfaces due for another coat of varnish. Then I scraped, gouged, and sanded the kitchen window frame. I had done the planing earlier. I planed another wall log, but I quit for the day before I got it ready for varnish.
On Wednesday morning I varnished the final coat on the Grid E wall between the corner and the front door, except for parts of four logs which need one more coat. I also varnished the second coat on the top four logs in the kitchen and the part of the loft beam, and I varnished the first coat on the kitchen window frame.
Since there was bad weather moving in, and it was too windy and dangerous to work in the woods, I left for home at about 11:00. I got over the pass before it started snowing very seriously.
