2/14-17/24 I went up to Camp Serendipity for four days: Wednesday through Saturday.
I arrived at 11:50. There was no new snow on the ground. The parking and walking were easy. I brought my gear up in two trips. After having lunch, I unpacked my gear and then took a nap. Then I walked to the grave and felt good and strong. It's good to be feeling back to normal.
On Thursday morning it snowed about an inch. I practiced the piano and then walked to the grave. When I got back, I listened to the radio before having my lunch and a nap.
Next, I went out to the front porch and cut all of the scrap wood that was too long to fit without blocking the stairway. Then I vacuumed the first floor inside and practiced the piano.
On Friday morning the temperature was 16 degrees outside. After practicing the piano, I went outside and walked to the grave but since the temperature was so cold, I put on some extra clothing. In particular I wore my big, insulated mittens and I wore a knit hat under my jacket hood. That kept me plenty warm.
After listening to the radio for a while I had my lunch and a nap.
When I got up, I went down to the crawl space and made about 25 wall tie assemblies. Then I went outside and placed some more ties for the scaffold deck.
On Saturday when I got up, the temperature outside was 11 degrees. I decided to go home early, so after practicing the piano I packed up and left for home at 10:30. It was another good week in the mountains, and I was happy to have gotten at least some work done.
