3/10-12/15 I went up to Camp Serendipity for 3 days: Tuesday through Thursday.
On the way, I dropped off the last of the tax documents and then proceeded on to Monroe where I visited with Uncle Charles. When I got there, I found him with a dust pan and a broom busy sweeping up the floor. When he finished that, I played a game of checkers with him and lost. It's a little humbling to lose a game of checkers to a guy with dementia.
I arrived at Camp Serendipity at 12:40 and as soon as I parked, Ernie showed up. I was happy to see him and after giving him a couple biscuits, I took some pictures of him. I should have taken more of Bert before he died.
After lunch and a nap, I shot some scenes for a video showing my work on the ceilings. In the evening, around 9:00 PM, I was happy to hear a loud din from all the frogs croaking at once.
On Wednesday I went back to work on the ceilings and shooting more video of the process as I went. I got two courses of ceiling boards nailed up before I quit for lunch and a nap.
When I got up, I went outside with my shovel and did some more backfilling in the water line trench. There are still no bugs out so this is the perfect time to make progress on that project.
When I had had my fill of digging, I came back and split up a bunch of firewood. My back and body were plenty sore and tired when I finally quit for the day.
On Thursday morning, I nailed up another course and a half before I quit for the week. I quit early because I had to get home for a medical appointment. I left for home at 11:10 happy with my progress in spite of a shortened week.
