12/12-13/22 I went up to Camp Serendipity for two days: Monday and Tuesday.
On Monday I got a late start because of errands. These included the Post Office and, once I got over the pass, I delivered Ellen's jam to several neighbors for Christmas. I arrived at Camp Serendipity at 1:25. There was about 5 inches of fairly wet new snow. After parking, I stomped the trails and shoveled the snow off the concrete staircase. I had a lot of gear, so it took five trips up and down the staircase to bring it all in after I had hoisted the flag. I finally had my lunch at three o'clock and took a nap. The temperature outside was 28 degrees.
On Tuesday morning it was 12 degrees and clear outside. After practicing the piano, listening to the radio, and doing some reading, I got a call from a doctor's office and learned that I had mixed up my scheduling. I had an appointment the next day that I couldn't miss so I changed my plans for the week. I had my lunch and packed up and left for home at 1:00 o'clock. Even though it was a short week, it was still good to be up at the cabin for those two days.
