Construction Journal Entry Week of 4/6/25

4/7-10/25 I went up to Camp Serendipity for four days: Monday through Thursday.

I left late because I took Lexie to a vet appointment in the morning. I arrived at 12:15 and parked in the hairpin turn for the first time this year. I brought my gear up in one trip carrying it up the upper part of the road. Then I hoisted the flag and had my lunch. Afterward I walked to the grave and then had a nap. When I got up, I played the piano for a while, worked on the puzzle, and then it was time for my shower.

On Tuesday morning the temperature outside was 30 degrees. Still pretty cold. I practiced the piano, worked on the puzzle, and then walked to the grave. After lunch and a nap, I worked on the puzzle and then I worked on the closet. Bill called and told me about the medical misfortunes of a couple of his friends.

On Wednesday morning the temperature was 28 degrees. I practiced the piano, worked on the puzzle, listened to the radio, and then walked to the grave. Then I filled 9 water jugs and staged them in the entry room. After lunch and a nap, I worked on the closet, the puzzle, and the piano.

On Thursday morning the temperature outside was 29 degrees. I practiced the piano, worked on the puzzle, and then loaded the water jugs into the truck. To save a trip, I used 2 jugs in the Trapper Nelson as my rucksack instead of my normal sack of rocks and I walked to the grave. Then I had my lunch and packed up to leave for home. Ellen wanted me to go home a day early this week so we can install a new computer on Friday so I left for home at 12:45 happy about the time I spent at the cabin this week.
