5/15-17/23 I went up to Camp Serendipity for 3 days: Monday through Wednesday.
I arrived at noon on a pleasant 75-degree day. No mosquitos yet that I could see. I hauled my gear up in 2 trips, hoisted the flag, and then had my lunch and a long nap. When I got up, I practiced the piano until it was time for my shower.
On Tuesday, the temperature outside when I got up was 50 degrees. Inside the cabin the temperature was 62 degrees because I had left the windows open all night. I wore a down jacket in the morning, keeping the cabin as cool as possible. That made it comfortable all day.
I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and then had my lunch and a nap. When I got up, I went outside and walked to the grave. When I returned, Ellen called and told me that Puddy had taken a turn for the worse. We decided that I should return home in the morning and take her to the vet.
On Wednesday morning the temperature outside was 42 degrees. I left the windows closed overnight so inside the cabin it was a comfortable 68 degrees. I got up at 5:30, did my exercises, had my breakfast, practiced the piano, watered Tiger, and got ready to go home.
I left for home at 9:20. Even though the week was cut short, It felt good to be up in the mountains.
