8/7-10/24 I went up to Camp Serendipity for four days: Wednesday through Saturday.
I arrived at 12:30 and the weather was hot. I brought my gear up in one trip and hoisted the flag. After lunch and a nap, I walked to the grave, did some exercises, took a shower and had my dinner.
On Thursday I got up early and watered the plants. I was outside working by 7:00 in the morning. I started by wheeling up two sacks of mortar mix from the truck to the cabin and then I mixed and laid up two batches of mortar using stones I had already harvested. I finished by 12:15 before it started getting too hot.
After lunch and a nap, I went out in the heat and walked to the grave.
On Friday morning I was up at 5 and out to work again at seven. I harvested a wheelbarrow or two full of stones and then laid up two batches of stones in the wall. These were batch numbers 78 and 79.
After lunch and a nap, I walked to the grave, and I could hear distant thunder rumbling. Byron and Barb stopped on their way to the emergency room. Byron had injured his leg on a nail and they were heading to the doctor. When I got back, I practiced the piano.
On Saturday I practiced the piano and then walked to the grave. I left for home at 10:50 after an unusually short week.
