Construction Journal Entry Week of 12/8/24

12/9-13/24 I went up to Camp Serendipity for five days: Monday through Friday.

I got a late start because I had a doctor's appointment early in the morning. I arrived at Camp Serendipity at 1:30 PM. There was 2 inches of new frozen, rained-on snow on the ground, but I drove up and parked in the normal place in the hairpin turn. I brought my gear up in 2 trips, hoisted the flag, and then had my lunch and a short nap.

I was awakened from my nap by a knock on the door. It was Shirley with her annual gift of a handmade ornament. We had a nice visit. After she left, I practiced the piano.

On Tuesday morning it was 20 degrees outside when I woke up. I watered the plants and then practiced the piano. Then I built a fire in the stove, relaxed, and did some reading by the fire. Then I walked to the grave.

After lunch and a nap, I vacuumed the bedroom really good. Then Bill called and we had a nice long conversation. When we hung up Ellen called me with some insurance questions.

On Wednesday morning it was 20 degrees outside again. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and then walked to the grave. After lunch and a nap, I vacuumed the first floor. Then I practiced the piano and did some reading.

On Thursday morning the temperature had warmed up a little to 23 degrees. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and walked to the grave. Just as I finished, Barb passed by on the road and stopped and chatted a little.

After lunch and a nap, I practiced the piano and then did some more reading.

On Friday morning the temperature was 23 degrees again. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and walked to the grave. Then I had my lunch and a nap. I left for home at 12:50 after spending a nice relaxing week. It's nice not having anything pressuring my time.
