3/10-14/25 I went up to Camp Serendipity for five days: Monday through Friday.
I arrived at noon and there was no new snow on the ground. I brought my gear up in 2 trips and hoisted the flag in between them. After having lunch, I walked to the grave and then carried a big board up from the truck to the porch. Then I had a nap, and it was time for my shower.
On Tuesday morning the temperature outside was 24 degrees. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and then walked to the grave. On my way back, I carried a second big board up from the truck to the porch. After lunch and a nap, I practiced the piano and then worked on the puzzle for a while.
On Wednesday morning the temperature outside was 27 degrees. It was snowing but it didn't amount to much. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and walked to the grave. After lunch and a nap, I worked on the closet for a while, then practiced the piano, and worked on the puzzle.
On Thursday morning the temperature outside was 27 degrees again. But it was not snowing. I fertilized Tiger, practiced the piano, and walked to the grave. When I got back, I got a call from Robert who told me he would be over to visit and to bring a book he would like me to read. After lunch and a nap, Robert came over with the book and I asked him to show me how to start my chainsaw. I had trouble every time I tried starting it during the winter and I figured there must be some trick. I think his instructions will allow me to start it in the future. After he left, I worked on the puzzle and practiced the piano.
On Friday morning the temperature was 21 degrees when I got up. I practiced the piano, walked to the grave, and noticed that the Smiths had arrived for the weekend. I had my lunch and packed up my gear in preparation to leave. I had taken one load down to the truck and started the truck just as Clint and Connie walked by and greeted me. We had a nice chat before I got the rest of my gear and left for home. I left at 12:40 after another fun and productive week.
