2/10-13/26 I went up to Camp Serendipity for 4 days: Tuesday through Friday.
I skipped going up to Camp Serendipity on Monday because of a doctor's appointment that took pretty much the whole day. I went up on Tuesday instead at a more normal time. I arrived at 12:45 in very pleasant 40 degree sunshine. I brought my gear up in two trips using the Trapper Nelson backpack for the second trip. I hoisted the flag between the two trips. After moving in, I had my lunch and a nap and the day was over.
On Wednesday the temperature outside was 22 degrees. That's cold enough to keep the trails frozen and firm. After practicing the piano, I went outside and dragged firewood up the hill and stacked the rounds. Then I had my lunch and a nap.
When I got up, I walked to the grave and when I got back, I read the news headlines I had downloaded.
On Thursday morning, the temperature outside was 22 degrees again and it was sunny again. I watered Tiger and then practiced the piano. Then I went outside and dragged and stacked firewood. After lunch and a nap, I walked to the grave. When I got back, I read the news headlines and then showered and shaved.
On Friday the 13th the temperature outside was 22 degrees again. I practiced the piano and then took a nice nap. When I got up, I fixed and ate my lunch and then packed up my gear for the trip home. I left for home after a rather short and uneventful week. It was mostly pleasant and relaxing, which I don't mind at all.
