1/9-12/23 I went up to Camp Serendipity for four days: Monday through Thursday.
My departure was delayed because I had an eye doctor appointment in the morning and then I dropped off some jam to Paula. Then I went to the post office, and was finally on my way. There was virtually no traffic on the highway which made it nice. I arrived at 1:40. The temperature was 30 degrees. I brought my gear up in two trips with no shoveling of the stairs. I hoisted the flag, unpacked my gear, had my lunch and my nap, and then did some exercises.
On Tuesday the temperature outside was 25 degrees when I got up. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and then worked on the water heater to stop the drips.
After lunch and a nap, I vacuumed the first floor and spent the rest of the afternoon reading.
On Wednesday it was 25 degrees outside again. After practicing the piano, I read before having lunch and a taking a nap. When I got up I cut up the big cardboard water heater carton so that I could burn the pieces in the wood stove. I did some more reading and practicing of the piano.
On Thursday morning it was 25 degrees and snowing outside. Ellen called the first thing in the morning with an emergency at home, so I changed my plans, cut the week short, and started packing to leave. Dave called, and since I was preparing to leave, we cut our conversation short. I left for home at 8:00 o'clock in the morning.
