Construction Journal Entry Week of 4/21/24

4/22-24/24 I went up to Camp Serendipity for three days: Monday through Wednesday.

I had an early afternoon doctor's appointment, so I got a very late start. Then there was heavy traffic in Seattle and on 522 that slowed me down. I arrived at Camp Serendipity at 7 in the evening.

On the way I happened to see Dean unloading his car, so I stopped and learned that they had just arrived from the East Coast and were moving in for the season. Then after leaving him, I happened to see Mike and Shirley just returning from a walk and going into their driveway. I stopped and chatted with them also. Then I pulled in and parked in the hairpin turn and carried my gear up in one trip.

Since it was so late, I skipped some things in my normal routine, had my dinner, and got to bed by 10:00.

On Tuesday when I got up the temperature outside was 26 degrees. It's still freezing at night so there will be no mortar work for a while. I practiced the piano and then walked to the grave.

I had gotten a money tree plant for my birthday, and I brought it up to Camp Serendipity to join the snake plant I already had. We call the snake plant Tiger and I decided to call the money tree Braidy. Ellen agrees with that name.

After lunch and a nap, I filled the water jugs and staged them in the entry room. I played the piano some more, and then Robert called. We caught up in our activities.

On Wednesday the temperature outside when I got up was 34 degrees so it's warming up a little. After practicing the piano, I walked to the grave and then loaded the jugs into the truck. Then I had my lunch and left for home at 12:30 after a very short week. I needed to be home for an early Doctor's appointment the next day.
