8/18-20/25 Dave, Bill, and I went up to Camp Serendipity for 3 days: Monday through Wednesday.
The weather was clear with the temperature in the 70s. There didn't seem to be many mosquitoes until we went for a walk heading to the grave. We stopped in at John's A-Frame but we didn't see John. The mosquitoes were bad enough so we gave up the walk and went back to the cabin.
The two of them had a detailed look at my stonemasonry methods and then we went inside the cabin and visited. Dave and Bill prepared the salmon I had brought, and we had a big, delicious dinner.
We went to bed fairly early because that's Bill's and my normal bedtime and Dave was still on Miami time. I slept in my bed in the bedroom, Dave slept in the twin bed in the loft, and Bill slept on a cot in the living room.
On Tuesday, we had a nice breakfast that Dave prepared, and we walked to the grave. We went out early enough that the mosquitoes weren't too bad.
We ate a lot of pistachios while we discussed a wide range of topics. I took a break to shower and shave and nap while Dave and Bill continued their discussions out on the front porch. Later, Dave drove us to the Squirrel Tree where we had dinner.
On Wednesday morning, Dave fixed us another delightful breakfast, and then we got ready to leave. I closed up the cabin after the two of them had left. I needed to be home on Thursday because I was scheduled to have Mohs surgery to fix a carcinoma on my nose. I left around 1:00 after having lunch.
The visit was especially enjoyable to me, and I appreciate the efforts they went to to come to the cabin.
