3/11-15/24 I went up to Camp Serendipity for five days: Monday through Friday.
I had to take the truck to the shop for some work which gave me a late start. I got on the road at 11:00 and arrived at Camp Serendipity at 2:00. The temperature was 40 degrees when I arrived. There had been no new snow since I had been there, so it was easy to bring my gear up in two trips. I hoisted the flag, had a small lunch, put some of the stuff away, and then had a nap.
On Tuesday morning when I woke up, I had a bout of mild Vertigo that slowed me down for a while. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and talked to Robert. Then I did some work on my mortar stand and had my lunch and a nap. When I got up, I walked to the grave and talked to Barb Dickinson and another couple on the way.
On Wednesday I felt extra good with no Vertigo. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and walked to the grave. It was 25 degrees out which was a little chilly. I worked on adjusting my mortar stand which was cockeyed and lopsided. After lunch and a nap, I finished up the mortar stand and got it sort of straightened out.
On Thursday morning the temperature outside was 20 degrees. I called Dave and we had a great conversation although it was interrupted a couple times when he had to talk to a contractor working at his house. I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and then filled 12 water jugs to bring home with me.
After lunch and a nap, I walked to the grave. When I got back, I installed seven wall ties in the foundation wall.
On Friday morning, I practiced the piano, listened to the radio, and then loaded the water jugs into the truck. I had an early lunch and left for home about noon. It was another good week despite the Vertigo episode.
