The major projects for 2000 were the main subfloor, the roof, start staining the outside, and start on the loft floor.

It was nice to have the roof keeping out the snow so I could work nice and dry inside. The TJI joists for the main floor went in through the windows. You can see the ends sticking out, protected by the eaves.

Here you see the rest of the joists out of the weather waiting to be installed. Scroll to the right to see them all.

The gray jays came right into the building to get their peanuts.

The floor joists are now in place. The hole you see is for a future fireplace. In the meantime, it provides a way to get into the crawl space from up above. You can see out the front door opening.

Here is Paul nailing down the plywood subfloor.

Here is Larry helping nail down plywood.

The main subfloor is finished. You can see the dining room in the far corner.
