12/22/10 Getting the 80 lb. bronze model of Mt. Rainier National Park up to the loft was a fairly big deal. Here it is just starting on its way up being winched along by a come-along.

12/22/10 Here it is quite a ways up.

12/22/10 It has almost reached the top of the staircase.

12/22/10 It is finally safely resting on the loft floor but still needs to be stood up.

12/22/10 Paul is lifting it up so that it will stand on its own four wheels.

12/22/10 The model in its traveling/storage/display case is finally standing upright on the floor.

12/22/10 Paul is removing the pins as the first step in reconfiguring the case into display mode.

12/22/10 The box has been rotated into the horizontal position.

12/22/10 Opening the first cover on the box.

12/22/10 Unhooking the restraining cables that held the model in the storage position.

12/22/10 Opening the second half of the cover.

12/22/10 Paul is beginning to unfold the fabric.

12/22/10 Unfolding more fabric reveals the bronze model.

12/22/10 The last of the fabric is unfurled.

12/22/10 The model is now on display.

12/22/10 Here is a close-up of the bronze.

12/22/10 The model displayed under a light.

12/22/10 This view of the model is from a more normal scale elevation so it looks more like the real mountain does.
