4/25/13 Here's the bird feeder Dave built, hanging from an anchor hook on the Grid F purlin.
5/7/13 Here is the remains of a pine tree that fell across the trail to the privy (in the background) after I limbed and bucked it.
5/8/13 Here you can see the broken gate log that I have to replace and you can see the stump from the gate post that I dug out and removed from the hole.
5/8/13 This is the top of the old eastern gate post that had rotted off at the ground line and which I had held in place by driving those two rebar you see into the ground. It lasted for quite a while that way but now needs to be replaced.
5/21/13 This log rack is for storing logs that used to be in front of the cabin. They were moved to make space for all the firewood that resulted from the 2013 ice storm.
5/23/13 Here you see that the bedroom and interior entry room doors have been hung. That leaves only three doors left to hang.
5/29/13 All the log remnants that were perviously stored right in front of the cabin have been moved to this rack in order to make room for all the firewood that will come from the 2013 ice storm.
6/19/13 Here Dave and Salvatori from Moonlight Tile & Stone are getting their tools ready in order to install the granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom.
6/19/13 Here Dave and Salvatori are preparing to carry one of the stone slabs up the stairs.
6/19/13 They are almost up the stairs.
6/19/13 Here is the final result in the bathroom. Now I just have to install the plumbing for the sink.
6/19/13 Here is a view of the kitchen countertops and sink.
6/19/13 Another view of the kitchen cabinets with their new granite tops.
6/24/13 Here you can see the granite backsplash that covers the back of the stove panel.
6/24/13 You can see how the granite backsplash was cut to fit the contour of the stove control panel.
7/24/13 This is the first generation kitchen faucet. It was never installed.
7/24/13 Carving of the holly wood faucet parts in progress.
7/24/13 The parts of the faucet spout are almost ready to be glued together.
7/30/13 The temporary wooden kitchen faucet works and is now a much-awaited "feature" of the cabin at Camp Serendipity.
8/9/13 The bedroom is finally furnished with a proper bed.
8/9/13 The jury-rigged air conditioner set up on the kitchen sink. It really works!
9/10/13 This little guy somehow got into the cabin, but I was able to catch him and put him back outside.
