9/26/14 Here Dee and Robert are waiting out the rain just as the sheep herder parked his rig at our driveway. This happened to be the day that about 1,000 sheep are moved from the pasture across the road to a pasture further up the road.
9/26/14 The sheep turned into our driveway, but the sheepdogs (you can see four of them) got them back onto the road. In addition to the four sheepdogs, you can see the big bear dog to the left.
9/26/14 Here you see the sheep herder's rig and the road full of sheep heading for their new pasture.
9/26/14 There are a lot of sheep and it took quite a while for them all to pass.
9/26/14 The recent logging activity opened up a new view of the cabin from up on the eastern arm of the high rock ridge behind the cabin.
9/26/14 Here you can see that the east arm of the ridge is cleared. Now those big trees down in the valley behind the ridge need to be cut down. They will fall over the rock ridge toward the camera position, which will be a very dangerous operation.
9/26/14 Here is a view of the parking area with two log decks ready to be loaded onto log trucks. How that loading will be done has not quite been worked out yet, but Robert will find a way.
9/26/14 This view from the back porch shows the valley we have been calling "Little Yosemite". It has a beautiful rock cliff on the other side which when cleared will be pretty spectacular.
9/26/14 The parking area, with its neatly stacked log decks and its immacutely groomed ground. We have begun calling this area "Serendipity Park" because Robert continually keeps it in park-like condition.
10/28/14 Here is part of the stack of firewood Dave split for me. The stack was level on the top but I burned up the upper left corner before I took this picture.
12/12/14 With the logging operation halted, progress is resuming on the ceiling installation. The Grid C1-E3 half of the ceiling is finally finished. In this picture you can see the scaffolding has been reconfigured to provide a platform for installing the blades on the ceiling fan. When that is finished, the scaffold will be reconfigured again to provide access to the Grid B1-C3 section of the ceiling.
12/23/14 The ceiling fan is installed and running smoothly. The first ceiling board is installed in the Grid B-C section.
12/23/14 The scaffold deck had to be lowered for a more comfortable reach.
